Dilithium Crystal Containment Chamber (DC3)

The DC3 (Dilithium Crystal Containment Chamber) consists of 6 Pyrex Fresnel lenses mounted in a steel structure. Each glass plate hosts an imbedded capacitance sensor that reacts to touch. Suspended inside the cube is a single crystal of quartz glass doped with Li2. Surrounding the crystal are Photonic Stimulators that are aimed to converge on the crystal and excite it to luminance. The resonance of the crystal structure results in a pulsing play of interactive light. Ideally the DC3 is suspended from above, but table and floor stands are available.
