Forecast Page
Ok, another experiment. Hopefully, this page will include all the cool forecast
stuff. if you have any forecast plots or info thats not onhere,
- First, read the Forecast Discussion.
This is mostly an english explanation of the weather and predictions by the
models. Heres an explanation
of the abbreviations, the contractions,
and some definitions and
explanations.
- Then, take a look at the surface
forecast models yourself. This is where the surface pressure
features are most likely to move to according to a computer
generated model. There are 4 different models output on this page,
all a bit different. You should plan that an average of the 4
models wil be the _real_ weather.
- Then, take a look at the tops of the waves, i.e, the Jetstream
(300mb)
- If that doesnt make any sense, check out the 48hr
850mb loop forecast. This shows the general interface line
between the warm and cold air masses (color coding is
temperature), expect fronts where the bluer (colder) zones meet
the redder (warmer) zones. Notice how the areas over TX and Mexico
"pump" each day when the Sun Shines!
